A New Member In Mclaren's Supercar Family : Mclaren 540C

The Mclaren Family Has Revelaed Their Cheapest And Least Powerful Supercar Yet, The All New Mclaren 540C.

This Supercar Is On Display At The 2015 Shanghai Motor Show. The Mclaren 540C is an entry-entry-level model in Mclaren's supercar family underneath the previous entry-level 570S,the 650S, the 675LT and ofcourse the P1, While all these supercars cost much much more than this new model of Mclaren.

So the new Mclaren 540C Is now here and  you can own one  too as it cost much less than  the other Mclaren supercars. It has the same mid-mounted 3.8-litre twin-turbo V8 engine as the rest of the McLarens, only here, it produces 533bhp (540PS, hence the name), and 398lb ft of torque.

Adding to this it has the same seven-speed twin-clutcher to the rear wheels, to record a 0-62mph time of 3.5 seconds (3.2s for the 570S), a 0-124mph time of 10.5 seconds and a top speed of 199mph. The 570S tops out at 204mph.

The  carbon tub remains the same too(mono cell), though here it's been redesigned to make getting in and out of the thing easier. It's Aluminium body panels also help keep the weight down to 1311kg -which weighs  just 2kg lighter than the 570S.

There is more to add. Yes, It has adaptive damping - revised over the 570S's damping for a more usable, ‘daily driver' focus - with three settings of normal, sport and track. You can work out which one to use where.

There are front and rear anti-roll bars, the same ‘brake-steer' system as on the 570S, and a revised aero package to mark it out.

Have a close look at this little beauty ,and you'll notice a whole new designline. It has  got new aero blades below the front bumper, a new rear diffuser, a new spoiler and new alloy wheels available in exotic silver finish.

But The Most Exiting Part About This Supercar is that It will be available in the UK at a price as low as £126,000 (now that's a low amount if you want to own a Mclaren Supercar) that brings it to a tough competition with the new v-10 engined(577 bhp) Audi R8 and ofcourse the Porsche 911 Turbo. So, Which One Is Your Choice??
